{ GUIDE } LAY THEM TO REST - Character Info & Outfits Template - By ayzrules on 18th October 2020 06:22:54 AM
Template created by @ayzrules
Fonts used: Unifraktur Maguntia { headings text }, Libre Baskerville { body text }
Helpful to know
When you make new 'panels' or rearrange them on each slide, the ALIGN tool is super super SUPER helpful, as is the 'center on page'!
1) Background
You can either use an image or set the background as a color!
If you would like to have different background images on each slide, paste / insert the image in, stretch & resize it until it fills the entire slide, and then hit Arrange > Order > Send to Back
2) "Panel" Formatting
Each panel / info box is comprised of a 1x2 table with the inner cell borders turned off:
To change the background & outer border colors, click into one of the cells and then use the options in the toolbar:
Then, you'll need to click the one border between the top 'heading' portion & the body text & change the border color to 'transparent':
3) Images
For this template, I didn't really have any specific sizes in mind - mostly just pasting directly in and re-sizing them using the toolbar crop option that comes up when you select the image - but here are the 'in-template' dimensions of some of the images (can adjust them yourself if you select image and then hit Format Options > Size & Rotation):
APPEARANCE image, slide 1 - 1.73in x 2.32in
MOODBOARD, slide 1 - 1.62in x 1.29in
LARGER VERTICAL, slide 2 - 1.63in x 2.44in
SMALLER, slide 2- 1.05in x varying heights
DRESS PIC, slide 3 - 1.24in x 1.68in
SUIT PIC, slide 3 - 1.3in x 1.89
To use the images in the panels, you have two options. You can either type your text normally and then go and press enter to manually wrap the text around the image, or insert text boxes (Insert > Text Box) around the images and paste your text into those.
Ex: the text in the moodboard panel on slide 1 is in textboxes!
4) Spacing
Tables will automatically expand downward if you add too much text. I recommend having the stuff figured out and pasting it in, and adjusting the cell padding, line spacing, etc as you need to. You can also easily copy paste panels by selecting the entire table, or use text boxes!
To adjust table padding, right click the table & select Format Options:
